API Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Hjulio API. By accessing the API, you agree to these terms.

1. About the API

Hjulio provides a REST API allowing authorised developers and partners to integrate vehicle data, listings, and platform services into their own applications. Access is subject to these API Terms of Use and the general Terms of Service.

2. API Access and Authentication

Access requires a valid API key issued by Hjulio AB. You must keep your key confidential and must not share it with unauthorised parties. You are responsible for all activity occurring under your key. A compromised key must be reported immediately to support@hjul.io.

3. Permitted Use

You may use the API only for lawful purposes, in accordance with our documentation, and in a way that does not harm Hjulio or its users. Automated scraping, reverse engineering, or actions that circumvent platform limits are prohibited.

4. Rate Limits and Quotas

API usage is subject to rate limits defined in your agreement or the developer documentation. Exceeding limits may result in temporary throttling or suspension of access.

5. Data and Privacy

Data obtained via the API must be handled in accordance with applicable data protection law (including GDPR). You may not store personal data longer than necessary for your stated purpose, and must not sell or share it with third parties without consent.

6. Intellectual Property and Data Ownership

The Hjulio API, including its software, schemas, and documentation, is the property of Hjulio AB. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the API for the permitted purpose only. You retain full ownership of your own data stored in Hjulio — Hjulio AB does not claim any ownership over your vehicle listings, customer records, or other content you upload or generate through the API.

7. Limitation of Liability

Hjulio AB is not liable for losses arising from API downtime, errors in data, or third-party integrations built on the API.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these API Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or the developer portal. Continued use of the API after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

9. Termination

We may suspend or revoke API access immediately if you breach these terms. You may terminate access by ceasing use and notifying support@hjul.io.
